Access GitLaw Editor

GitLaw includes a powerful editor designed specifically for legal documents, with features like smart fields, optional clauses, and help text to make drafting more precise and efficient.

You can access the GitLaw Editor in a few simple ways:

1. From Your Files

If you’re working directly from your account:

  1. Open your files: Click the menu in the top-left corner and choose Files → My Files.
  2. Select or create a document: This page lists all documents in your account. Click an existing file to open it, or create New File to start fresh 📂.

2. From GitLaw Chat

If you’re drafting through the Agent, you can open the editor directly:

  • In the Activity tab on the right-hand panel, select Current Version to view and edit the latest draft 💬.

3. Navigating the Layout

Once inside the editor, you’ll see:

  • Main pane: Displays your document for editing
  • Left sidebar: Shows the chat history
  • Top toolbar: Contains formatting and styling controls
  • Right-hand panel: Includes additional information such as Versions, Clauses, About, and Smart Fields
Create a new file or open an existing one
Go to Activity > Current Version using the top right icon to edit from Chat
